Climate Change and Sustainable Development

The Climate Change and Sustainable Development team at ICRIER consists of seasoned professionals belonging to a variety of disciplines such as economics, engineering and environmental management. This team diversity helps it cover multiple facets of this broad theme. While the theme in itself is a fairly recent thrust area for ICRIER, the team is rapidly gaining recognition for the blend of empirical and qualitative research it brings forth. The team engages in cutting edge research employing General Equilibrium (GE) models, building energy systems models, waste models etc. to tackle core energy and environmental issues. It extends its research services to different government ministries for discussions at multiple forums such as the G20, UNFCCC etc. and also provides timely insights into some of the key questions that the country is grappling with.
